Naa Sika at Smart City Expo World Congress "22

As the founder of Naa Sika, a fintech startup from Ghana, I was thrilled to attend the Smart Cities World Expo Congress 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. This event brought together experts and innovators worldwide to discuss and showcase the latest technology and solutions for creating smarter and more sustainable cities. Smart City Expo World Congress is an annual event in Barcelona, Spain, with over 20,000 global attendees and 1,000 exhibitors from over 700 cities.

One of the conference’s highlights was the startup showcase, where 15 tech startups from Africa were selected to present their innovative solutions. I was honoured to represent Naa Sika, which offers financial inclusion and payment solutions for small businesses and informal sector workers in Africa.

Naa Sika was sponsored by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), which has strongly supported our work. It was an amazing opportunity to share our vision with the broader community and discuss potential partnerships and collaborations.

I also attended several interesting panels and workshops on topics ranging from the future of mobility to smart energy systems and clean tech. It was fascinating to hear from experts and city leaders about the challenges and opportunities facing smart cities and the innovative solutions being developed to address these issues.

Overall, the Smart Cities World Expo Congress 2022 was an inspiring and informative event, and I am grateful for the opportunity to attend and represent Naa Sika. I look forward to continuing to work towards building smarter and more sustainable cities in Ghana and beyond.
