What is Susu?

The Simple Principle

Susu is a traditional African savings method where a group of people come together to save money collectively. It's also known as a ROSCA (Rotating Savings and Credit Association).

Group of 3-50 people
Friends, family, or community members who trust each other
Equal contributions
Everyone contributes the same amount at regular intervals
Rotating payouts
Each period, one member receives the entire pot
Full cycle
Rotates until every member has received the payout once

Why Susu Works

  • Built on trust and community bonds
  • Provides access to lump sums without loans
  • Encourages disciplined saving habits
  • Strengthens community relationships

How Group Susu Works

A simple, transparent process

1

2

Agree on Terms

The group decides together on the contribution amount, payment schedule (daily, weekly, monthly), and payout order.

Regular Contributions

Every member contributes the agreed amount at the scheduled time. Naa Sika tracks all contributions automatically via WhatsApp, Telegram, or USSD.

4

Rotating Payouts

Each period, one member receives the entire pot (all contributions combined). The payout rotates through all members until everyone has received once.

🎯 Payout Amount = Contribution × Number of Members

Everyone contributes GHS 100, 10 members = GHS 1,000 payout each cycle
